We were called out to an urgent electrical fault after a damaged SWA cable was found arcing and smoking outside in wet conditions.
On arrival, we immediately isolated the supply and made the area safe. The damaged section of armoured cable was then cut out and a suitable joint installed to restore the supply safely.
The repair was completed with minimal disruption to the business, allowing the company to get their unit back up and running without significant downtime.
Another example of why electrical faults involving burning, arcing or damaged cables should be isolated and investigated immediately.
