What is an EICR?

An EICR or electrical installation condition report is an inspection of all fixed electrical installations in a building. During an EICR, your approved electrician will inspect fixtures such as the outlets, switches, consumer unit and lighting. C2- A potentially dangerous fault such as lighting missing an earth connection, essential for safety and preventing electric shocks. This type of hazard required urgent action to stop it from escalating.

C3- We suggest a recommendation as no immediate danger is linked to this fault. Examples could be the lack of RCD protection in a lighting circuit.

F1- Further investigation is required to see if the fault causes greater danger. This could be due to light switches or outlets not being clearly identifiable on a circuit.
